Our PeopleAdrian Measner President and CEO, Soumat In October 2007, Adrian Measner joined Upper Lakes Group Inc. as President and Chief Executive officer of Soumat Inc. Mr. Measner is responsible for directing the growth and management of the following subsidiaries: Mission Terminal Inc. located in Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario and les Elévateurs des Trois-Rivières Ltée., Les Grain Lac Supérieur Ltée., and Services Maritimes Laviolette Inc., all located in Quebec. In 1974, upon receiving his Bachelor’s of Science Degree from the University of Saskatchewan, Mr. Measner began his career at the Canadian Wheat Board (CWB) in Winnipeg. During his 32 years at the CWB, he held numerous positions with increasing levels of responsibility in the sales, marketing and transportation areas. In 2003, Mr. Measner became President and Chief Executive Officer of the CWB. He also served as a Director on the board of the Canadian International Grains Institute. Adrian Measner
Bruce HaylesVice President, Soumat Bruce Hayles has extensive experience in the grain industry, most recently serving as President of Mission Terminal Inc. Throughout his career, he has led many organizations, including serving as President of Les Elévateurs des Trois-Rivières, les Grains Lac Supérieur and Laviolette Grain Services. He was also Vice President of Seaway Bulk Carriers. Mr. Hayles was Chairman of the Board of the Winnipeg Commodity Exchange for two terms. He also has experience as both a Cash Grain Broker and as a Vessel Broker. Bruce Hayles

Gilles Morin Vice President, Soumat Gilles Morin became President and CEO of Les Grains Lac Supérieur Ltée in 1987. He also served as President and General Manager of Les Elévateurs des Trois-Rivières from 1991 to 2008 and Vice-President of Mission Terminal. Mr. Morin has extensive experience as a grain trader, having traded cereal grains, coarse grains and oilseeds as well as their byproducts in Quebec, Ontario, the United States and abroad. He began his trading career with Canlake Grain in 1983, then with Agro of Canada in 1985 before trading with Les Grains Lac Supérieur in 1986. Mr Morin had previous experience in grain production in both the Western canadian prairies and in Quebec From 1993 to 2008 Mr Morin also held senior positions in dry bulk logistics including multimodal transportation (laker, barge, rail and truck) bulk handling, stevedoring and bulk distribution. Mr. Morin has a Bachelor’s Degree from the Université du Quebec and higher education in Business Administration at Université Laval in Quebec City. Gilles Morin
