Farmers understand the economic benefits of loading rail cars themselves instead of delivering their grain to an elevator. Not only do farmers save on primary elevation ($13.00 per tonne in 2008), but they also gain with the producer car terminal incentive. MTI’s terminal incentive for grain going through Thunder Bay and Vancouver is $3.50 per tonne -- the largest incentive of all producer car administrators.

MTI is the largest producer car administrator in the Prairie Region, providing service for over 50 per cent of the producer cars ordered in any given crop year. Partnering with Mission puts more money in farmers’ pockets.
