It is a division of Soumat, which sources, markets and transports grain and industrial projects for customers around the globe. MTI is the largest East Coast shipper of producer cars, with annual volume of 240 000 tonnes. MTI sources and markets grain for its grain terminal, Mission Terminal, located at the mouth of the Mission River in Thunder Bay, Ontario. MTI owns and operates a primary elevator at Alexander, Manitoba, and has equity stakes in producer car facilities in Saskatchewan (White Mud Trading Company, Willows Grain Company and Great Sandhills Terminal). It also has equity stakes in short line railways in Southern Saskatchewan (Great Western Railway) and Southern Manitoba (Boundary Trails Railway Company).
